1/2 large onion, diced 4 Tbsp. oil 1/2 tsp. cumin 1 tsp. chili powder 1/4 tsp. garlic powder salt and pepper to taste 1/4 cup (4 Tbsp) flour 8 oz can tomato sauce 2 cups chicken broth 2 large cooked chicken breast halves, shredded
2-3 large spoonfuls sour cream large handful grated cheddar cheese tortilla chips (topping) diced green onions (optional topping)
Saute onion in oil. Add flour and spices and stir well. Add tomato sauce, chicken broth and chicken. Simmer for about 10 minutes. Add sour cream and cheddar cheese, stir and heat through. (May also wait to add these until serving time.) Serve with sour cream, grated cheese and tortilla chips.
