They have a Bed and Breakfast, as well as offer horseback riding trips and guide outfitting. I was excited to find they have recently gone digital and have a website up!

I would wholeheartedly recommend Tracy’s cooking, and she is one of the warmest, most hospitable and welcoming people I think I’ve ever met. Jon is a regular mountain man and you’ll get to see pristine wilderness he knows like the back of his hand. Whether you need to get out of the rat race and find some peace and quiet, or if you like good music and laughter, theirs is the place to be.

Find the joy and inspiration in everyday things! Nostalgic children’s toys, fresh baked blueberry pie, the sunlight streaming through the trees… Jolie paints still lifes in acrylic, watercolor and oil. Playful and vibrant, her paintings are another fun, daily feature of my own email inbox.

Jolie is well on her way to a personal goal of 100 days of painting. What a great creativity goal! Every day she paints, and posts the painting for sale. Each day the paintings sell for $1 more. (For example, on Day 44, the painting of a red geranium sold for $44.)

Naan. Yet another flatbread I’ve been meaning to try. We’ll see if I get to it this week or not! I’m getting behind on posting the recipes I’ve already made, including the croissants from Challenge #8. Oops.

And, believe it or not, I’m once again tackling a BOOK. No, not reading one. Writing one. I’ve started writing books before, but never made it past those first few pages (or paragraphs!). I’m hoping I will, this time. Maybe posting this on the web will give me that little bit of extra incentive and accountability?! I won’t be finishing the book this week, that’s for sure. This is more like a Yearly Challenge!

Although, now I’m thinking of it, I just might pound out a children’s book in a little less time….

A blog for aspiring illustrators.

Blogger/Illustrator, Jonathan Woodward, interviews and features various aspiring illustration artists.

Also, check out his Twelve Week Challenge posted just a few days ago and due to launch April 5th. Join a community of aspiring and professional illustrators on their journey toward making a living out of their passion for art and illustration.

Jonathan Woodward’s own preferred style is collage, and he specializes in children’s wildlife illustration. I especially like his birds. Check out his portfolio site – Jonathan Woodward Studio. His collage is a little reminiscent of Eric Carle’s work, but more accurate in detail and less quirky.

I had never heard of a ketubah before. A ketubah is a kind of traditional Jewish prenuptial agreement or wedding contract. They are usually decorated with art work and calligraphy. I especially like the Cherry Blossoms, Flowers in Bloom and Many Moons designs at New Ketubah. Now, I don’t happen to be Jewish, but I think the idea is lovely, and I find the simplicity and elegance of her designs quite inspiring.

Oh yes, and check out Tsilli Pines’ cards, too.
