These are just a tiny handful. There are so many, many others. But there is neither time nor space to put them all. Suffice to say, it is not (just) an English book. Far from it! Perhaps it’s easy to forget. Sometimes there are disagreements and arguments over which English translation to use. There is a time and place for that, but we also need to remember the history, the breadth of use and the depth of the Book. I owe much to those who carried the message far and wide, often risking their lives in doing so, as well as in the translating of these precious words into the languages of those they brought it to.

P.S. Thanks to www.biblegateway.com for their searchable Bible database, from which I obtained the above translations.
