Hot Fudge Sundae Cake

Hot Fudge Sundae Cake or Chocolate Pudding Cake
1 cup all-purpose, unbleached flour
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 Tbsp cocoa (can increase)
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup milk
2 Tbsp vegetable oil
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
3/4 – 1 cup packed brown sugar (I used 3/4 cup and it was sweet enough)
1/4 cup cocoa
1 1/2 cups very hot tap water
Mix flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder and salt. Pour in milk, vegetable oil, vanilla, and optional nuts. Stir until combined. Pour and spread in an ungreased 9×9 baking dish.
Sprinkle brown sugar and cocoa on top. Pour very hot water over top. Bake at 350*F for 40 minutes. Eat warm with ice cream. Can also be refrigerated and eaten cold. After it cools, and sits in the fridge overnight, the sauce will become thicker.
